Points for this Sunday!

Hi guys! I was without a computer for a few days, so I couldn't update this as quickly. Just wanted to share the secret phrase for this week : "DON'T BE SAD" (we are talking about dealing with depression this week). Make sure you come and whisper this in Mrs. PJ's ear so your team can get the extra points. Also, don't forget to bring your Bible and offering!!!

Last week we talked about dealing with Anger. Our power verse said, "Don't let anger gain control over you" Ephesians 4:26

Our Big Idea said, "Don't give in to the anger infection, turn and head in God's direction."

Dealing with Bad Attitudes!

This week in Graceland Studios we talked about "How to DEAL WITH bad attitudes".
We learned that:
1. Our attitude is our choice.
2. We need to choose to have the right attitude.
3. We need to choose to have the attitude of Christ.
It isn't always easy to have a good attitude. During our prayer time this week, we took time to talk to God about those things that make it hard to have a good attitude.

We kicked off our new Boys vs. Girls challenge this week, the Sundae-Sunday Challenge. Whoever earns the most points between now and April 25th will win Ice Cream Sundaes for breakfast on the first Sunday in May.

All By Myself

This week in Graceland Studios we talked about dealing with loneliness. We all face loneliness at some time in our life. But this week we learned that though we may feel alone, God is always with us. Our Big Idea states: "No matter where I am, no matter where I go, God is with me this I know".



We took time this week in small group to talk about some times we have felt all alone. But our Power Verse reminded us of God's promise:

"I want, I want, I want..."

We are learning some really cool new praise and worship songs in Graceland Studios. I thought I would post the video, so you guys could practice at home!

Under Pressure!!!

This week in Graceland Studios we talked about Dealing With Stress! Sometimes we think children don't know the first thing about dealing with stress, but from the pressure to do well in sports, make good grades, have a certain amount of friends, and act a certain way, life can be pretty overwhelming to a child.


But like our Big Idea says: If you're stressed, come to God and rest! We learned that when we feel like the pressure of life is too much to handle we can always go to God for rest.

Our bible story this week was from Luke 10. Mary and Martha were having Jesus over for dinner (talk about a reason to be stressed out, feeding Jesus a meal in your home!) Jesus was sitting in the living room teaching and spending time with everyone. Martha was running around the house completely STRESSED OUT! Martha came into the living room and said to Jesus, "Lord, isn't it so unfair that Mary is in here with you while I am taking care of everything else?" Jesus said,"Martha, Mary is exactly where you need to be...with me. Instead of stressing out over all these details, you should be right here with me as well."


Take time, as a family, this week to "come to God and rest". Have a blessed week!

Silly String Showdown!
